Is it possible to record HD programming using a computer as a DVR, lossless, from Directv?

What is the cheapest way to record uncompressed, lossless HD programming off directv using my laptop computer as a DVR and storing it to a large external HDD? Thanks.
I understand the HDD space a full HD broadcast would take up (15GB for 5mins), but I am just wondering if it is possible.
